Which plan should you choose?
Choose the cash or pay-at-counter plan if most of your customers pay when they collect, or if you want to test direct ordering cheaply. Choose the online card payments plan if you deliver or want orders prepaid, which cuts no-shows. Card payments go through Stripe at Stripe's standard Australian rate, currently 1.65% + A$0.30 for domestic cards, including GST (stripe.com/au/pricing, read 27 Oct 2026). Chefzi adds no fee on top.
What it costs at your volume
| Monthly online sales | At 30% delivery-app commission | Chefzi card plan + Stripe (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| A$5,000 (about 140 orders) | A$1,500 | A$36 + about A$125 |
| A$10,000 (about 285 orders) | A$3,000 | A$36 + about A$250 |
| A$20,000 (about 570 orders) | A$6,000 | A$36 + about A$501 |
These assume an average order of A$35 and domestic cards. The delivery-app figure includes delivery, which you'd provide yourself or skip by offering pickup only, so it isn't a like-for-like comparison. Chefzi prices exclude GST. Try your own numbers in the commission calculator.
Costs outside the plan
- Card processing: Stripe's standard fees on online card payments (card plan only).
- Delivery: if you deliver, your own drivers or delivery costs. Pickup-only venues skip this.
- A printer (optional): only if you want dockets to auto-print. The app works on its own.
There is no setup fee, no per-order fee and no lock-in contract, and moving your menu across is free.
What other systems charge
