GloriaFood alternatives in Australia: the three types, compared
GloriaFood's closure has filled search results with "GloriaFood alternative" pages, each recommending its own product. This guide steps back and compares the types of replacement, so you can judge any provider fairly.
Type 1: Hosted ordering page (closest to GloriaFood)
A link and widget you add to your website, Google profile and QR codes. Orders arrive on a phone or tablet app. Pros: fast to set up, works with any website and POS, low flat fees. Cons: orders sit on a separate device from your POS. Check: commission or per-order fees, payment options, delivery zones, and whether you can leave month to month. See the Uber Eats and DoorDash commission report for every rate and its source. The commission calculator shows the figure for your own sales.
Named alternatives people search for
Google's related searches for "GloriaFood alternative" in Australia include CloudWaitress, FoodChow, Restolabs, Menutiger, Fleksa, Deonde and Ressto (Google AU, 27 Oct 2026). Most of them look like Type 1 or Type 3 products. We haven't checked their Australian pricing, contracts or support, so we don't rank them here. Before you choose one, check its own pricing page for per-order fees, card processing, contract length and whether it charges in A$.
Type 2: Ordering built into a POS
Australian POS companies increasingly bundle online and QR ordering. Pros: one screen, one menu, combined reports. Cons: higher monthly cost, hardware, and often a 12 or 24-month term. Some independent listicles score vendors partly on how long their contracts are. Check: contract length, notice period, the cost of ordering on its own, and offline behaviour.
Type 3: A delivery app's webshop
Uber Eats and DoorDash both sell ordering for your own website. Uber's Webshop is published at 25% with Uber delivery or 6% for self-delivery and pickup. DoorDash's Online Ordering is 1.75% + A$0.30 per order (both checked 27 October 2026). Pros: couriers on tap. Cons: a percentage on every order, forever.
How the costs compare at different volumes
At an illustrative A$10,000 a month in direct orders: 6% is A$600 a month, 1.75% + 30c on 400 orders is A$295, and 2% is A$200. A flat monthly fee stays the same however busy you get. Card processing applies to all of them.
Questions to ask any provider
- Is there commission, a per-order fee, or both?
- What is the contract and notice period?
- Who owns customer details, and can I export them?
- Will you migrate my GloriaFood menu, and is that free?
- Can I set delivery zones by suburb with different fees?
- What happens if the internet drops on a Saturday night?
- Is support available in my time zone during dinner service?
Chefzi is a Type 1 hosted ordering page with 0% commission, no contract and free migration. See GloriaFood alternative and the migration guide.

| A$10,000 a month in app orders for your venue | Commission |

| DoorDash, pickup (15%) | A$1,500 |

Frequently asked questions
When does GloriaFood shut down?
GloriaFood's own site says 30 April 2027. An Oracle page says 31 March 2027. Plan to switch by the end of February 2027.
Will Chefzi move my menu?
Yes. Menu migration from GloriaFood is included at no charge.
Can I keep my website?
Yes. Replace the GloriaFood button with the Chefzi embed or link.
What is the cheapest GloriaFood alternative?
Look at the total monthly cost at your order volume, not just the headline price. A small per-order percentage can cost more than a flat monthly fee once you take more than a few orders a day.
Do I need a new POS to replace GloriaFood?
No. A hosted ordering page works alongside any POS, just as GloriaFood did.
What happened to GloriaFood?
GloriaFood is being shut down. Its homepage gives end of life as 30 April 2027, and an Oracle page says 31 March 2027. Venues need to move their ordering to another provider before then.
What is the best GloriaFood alternative in Australia?
Look for 0% commission, free menu migration and a button you can put on your own website. Then check card fees and delivery zones by suburb. Chefzi offers all of these on a flat monthly fee with no setup fee and no lock-in.
Will my GloriaFood ordering button keep working after the shutdown?
No. When GloriaFood reaches end of life, its ordering service stops. Replace the button on your website, the link on your Google Business Profile and your QR codes before then.
Does Oracle own GloriaFood?
Yes. GloriaFood is an Oracle product, and Oracle publishes the end-of-life FAQ for the service.
