Takeaway shops need speed: a clear menu, quick checkout and orders that don't get lost on a busy Friday. Chefzi gives you an ordering page with pickup times, delivery by suburb, cash or card, and an app that rings until the order is accepted.
Browse by cuisine: pizza, kebab, fish and chips, Chinese, Thai, Indian.
Built around how takeaways actually run
Friday and Saturday nights make or break a takeaway week. Ready times you set per order, plus scheduled pre-orders, keep the kitchen in control. Delivery zones priced by suburb stop you losing money on far-away orders, and pickup gives regulars a commission-free way to order.
A takeaway's typical setup
- Menu with sizes, meal deals and extras
- Pickup first, with delivery to two or three nearby suburbs
- The link on Google, Facebook and a counter QR code
- A bag insert in every app order: "Order direct next time"

Setting delivery zones that work in Australian suburbs
Australian cities are spread out, and a 5 km circle can cross a river, a motorway or a national park. Here's how to set zones that make money.
Three approaches
- Radius: simple, but ignores bridges and rivers. Fine in a grid suburb.
- Postcode or suburb: best in most Australian cities, because customers know their suburb and drive times follow suburb boundaries.
- Tiered: a free or low fee nearby, then a higher fee and minimum further out.
Examples
In Sydney, a venue in Parramatta may deliver to Harris Park and Westmead but not across the river at peak. On the Gold Coast, a coastal strip suits suburb zones north and south rather than a circle that's half ocean. In Perth, long distances mean a minimum order for outer suburbs.
Chefzi lets you set a fee, minimum and time by area, radius or postcode.
What commission costs on an illustrative A$10,000 month
| A$10,000 a month in app orders for your venue | Commission |
|---|---|
| Uber Eats, they deliver (30%) | A$3,000 |
| DoorDash, pickup (15%) | A$1,500 |
| Chefzi (0%) | A$0 plus a flat monthly fee |
Published Australian rates from the Uber Eats and DoorDash merchant pricing pages, checked 27 October 2026. Excludes GST and card processing. Your own agreement may differ.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take cash on delivery?
Yes. The cash plan supports pay on pickup and cash on delivery.
What is the cheapest takeaway ordering system?
It depends on volume. Per-order systems (such as 1% per order) are cheapest when you're quiet. A flat fee wins once you pass a few thousand dollars a month.
Can customers schedule takeaway orders?
Yes. With Chefzi, customers can pre-order for a later pickup time within your opening hours.
