Alternatives for Australian restaurants
- The other marketplace: DoorDash. Similar headline rates (30% delivery, 15% pickup), so it doesn't cut costs much. See the DoorDash alternative page.
- Niche apps such as Fantuan, Easi and HungryPanda (Asian cuisines) or Foodhub. Their reach is narrower and most don't publish rates.
- Your own ordering: a flat-fee or per-order direct system. See commission-free online ordering.
- Delivery without the marketplace: some direct systems book Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive couriers per trip. With Chefzi you set your own delivery zones, fees and minimums. If you don't have drivers, you can book on-demand couriers through Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive.
Keep Uber for discovery, move regulars direct
Most venues don't quit Uber Eats outright. They keep it for new customers and move repeat customers to their own page. A bag insert with a direct-order discount works well. See how to move regulars off Uber Eats.
